I've ordered some Chia seeds!!! What do they taste like? What do you make with them?

Are they gelatinous like flax seeds? crackers?

Spicy flavor? condiment?

Should I just sprout them on a chia head??? Put in salads?

I let them thicken for about 10 mins.
I cut a papaya in 2 lengthways. After I have discarded the seeds I fill the space with the chia jelly and eat them togeather with a spoon.

They make a refreshing gel and have a slight nutty flavor, but really not much flavor at all. I just eat them as is. In Mexico they make Chia Fresca by gelling them then mixing with lemon juice, ice and a sweetener.

I just made a tasty pesto last night:

2 bunches basil
1/4 cup chia seeds soaked in 3/4 cup water
1 1/2 cup pine nuts
pinch salt
1 clove garlic

Blend in Vitamix until smooth.

Whenever I make too much smoothie, I pour the leftovers onto some chia seeds and eat it like pudding. deelicious!
