Post what you are eating or what you just ate (or will eat).

I am eating a very strange salad indeed, rommaine lettuce and sliced banana! With a dressing of sea salt, honey, hemp oil, and orange juice. I'm enjoying the sweet/salty/slightly bitter combo.

This evening we had company and I made everyone a raw meal! I ate falafels with cucumber sauce, broccoli salad, green salad, corn chips, onion bread, white chocolate strawberry cheesecake, and chocolate mousse! That sounds like a lot, but I wanted them to get a good variety of raw foods to get a taste. I only ate a little bit of each one. They loved it!

'Pumpkin Pie in a Bowl Revisited' from the book Detox for Women, by natalia rose.....

2 cups fresh carrot juice
1 sweet potato peeled and chopped
1/2 avocado
few drops stevia
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Blend and enjoy!

I just tried this a few days ago and thought it sounded wierd.....but it really really tastes just like pumpkin pie, and is SO DELICIOUS, and totally raw! If you like (or used to like) pumpkin pie, you must try this!!!!! (you can also use dates instead of stevia for the sweetness)

I just ate amazing Jalapeno Poppers! I ordered cheese from Grezzo and used their cheese and emptied out several jalapenos and stuffed them with the nut cheese and then rolled them in ground pine nuts. They had to dehydrate at 115 for 2 and a half days for the spice to be managable for me--but WOW was it worth the wait! So amazing. Even my non raw co-workers were munching down on them (the very ones that called me crazy for being raw--not so crazy anymore hehehe)

With thanks....Cynthia : )

This is what we are having for dinner tonight -

Stuffed button mushrooms

1 lb mushrooms - stems removed

Filling:
2 handfulls of spinach
1 bunch of basil
2 cloves garlic
4 spring/green onions
2 cups soaked sunflower seeds (2 cups before the soak)
salt and pepper to taste

process filling in the food processor until creamy - might need to add a splash of water to get the right consistency

place filling into a plastic baggie and twist the top - snip off a corner and fill the mushroom caps - sprinkle with black sunflower seeds

the filling is so good - my toddler likes to eat it with a spoon! (ahem - I admit - I did too) it's okay though - there is plenty of the filling - we'll probably use the extra to smear on tomatoes or cukes

We'll be eating this with a greens salad - and a fresh garlic/herb/lemon dressing

I'm probably gonna be posting on this one a lot because I'm starting to create my own recipes (well, at least my own variations- something I never ever did when cooked)!

Right now I'm having a really awesome-feeling detox smoothie...

3 stalks celery with leaves (juiced or stuck in blender)
one red apple
one lemon
6 leaves mint
tsp cinnamon

:)

PS. and thanks, T-Bird! What a great website.

I've been eating alot of broccolli this week, never noticed how satiating it can be. I'm a member or an organic farm delivery service and get a home delivery of just-picked organic fruit and veggys every week. It makes raw living much easier since they send you different things every week. It helps with variety. This week they send 3 huge heads of broccolli and i've been having a great time with it. They're all organic and the home deliver to the san francisco and bay area. Check them out on www.alberteve.com (http://www.alberteve.com)
