View Full Version : Oh No, Problem...Help Please
Over the last few days my hands and fingers have become increasingly sensitive to touch and esp. warm water. At first it was just tingly, like your mouth might feel after eating peppers or mint. I noticed I could not tolerate the shower as hot as I liked it before I started raw.
Today my hands tingled in the shower water, and then I realized they were going from tingling to pain.
Now I am sitting here typing and my hands, esp. both index fingers and the hand just below them feel...burned.
It feels like nerve pain but I am not diabetic.
Did anyone else's hands or skin become sensitive to heat after going completely raw?

Did you ever have frostbite, or suspected you might have?
That's about my only idea, sorry!

Are you eating buckwheat sprouts?!

That's amazing, I think I have the same thing going on. I haven't burned myself yet, but I'm definitely more sensitive to the heat of my shower water. I used to love it really really hot, but now I have to take the dial down a few notches every time I get in. I'm taking a b12 supplement so I hope that's not what it is... it could be though.
Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
No, no frostbite. I live in Florida, :)
Otherwise, I feel great. I am wondering if the feeling in my skin was dull and now it is coming back.
No buckwheat? either.
Does anyone know of a good naturally non caffine tea that I could puchase?
Anyone have a favorite?
My coffee intake is down from 3 pots per day to half to two cups, depending if I am working all night.

you could make a raw ginger tea very easily.
I use a garlic press. Put your warmish hot (not above 115 degrees, lol) water in a cup, sweetner of taste mixed in. Put a little piece of ginger in the press and press away. A few drops of ginger juice will pour out. Experiment and see how strong you like it.
Ginger is suppose to give energy - but I don't know where I heard that from...

I have noticed the shower temp irritates me now too, I like it more on the cold not so hot side. I put this down to eating more raw foods. I can't help you with the other symptoms, maybe it is a form of detox?
