Hi Everyone,
This is my sescond attempt at posting :o I wrote a lengthy introduction, of which I was very proud, since I've lurked here forever. Anyway, when I attempted to post it, the site logged me out. To say I was frustrated would be putting it mildly. Anyhow, I digress. I followed Rawinlocs here from another board, after reading her many of her post on health related topics there. Since then, I have slowly done my homework on raw, while lurking here, of course. I dont feel quite ready for the 30 day challenge yet...but my confidence in raw is growing daily thanks to you ALL.
While reading new post ( last week ) I came across a thread on a potluck here in WA ...well that pushed me right over the edge :) I felt I had to join and possibly meet some of you wonderful folks. I live in Tacoma. I moved here in 2001 from Germany.
I generally dislike talking too much about myself, so I will stop here, with plans to share more as I become more accustomed to posting etc...
:o

Happy you are finally here. You followed a very nice, smart person here. You can learn a lot from her and from others here. Nice to have you :)

Hey! Yes, too hot!!! Im in Seattle, and not looking forward to a 90 degree day here!
Im new to this list too, but just wanted to say "hey" to my washingtonian hommies while this thread was humming.
Id like to hook up with folks, but a little too shy to throw myself into a potluck atmosphere, so if anyone wants to meet up for a cup o' juice someday, let me know!

Wow, you followed ME here? :o
Well, we're certainly very glad to have you both here on the forum AND in WA!
I'm in Olympia, but we drive to Tacoma probably once or twice a week to visit family (my brother-in-law and his family) and friends.
I'm sure we'll hook up eventually either there or here! ;)
btw, were you speaking of NP and if so, who are you there?

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome ! :)
@ Rawkinlocs-- yes, I'm tagging along from NP :) I am ZenDiva over there---
We are looking @ houses (buying) a home up in Olympia but I've grown so use to the speed at which I can get to the things/ places I enjoy that I'm hesitant to move just yet..

Ooo Ooo, PLEEEEESE come to Olympia!! I need a raw (or even aspiring raw) buddy this way!
There are LOTS of stores close by...many that I can walk to (I'm in S.E. Olympia, not sure what part you're looking into). But that would be so nice to have a raw (NP) sista in the area! :D

I, too, am from WA state...the olympic peninsula!
I have been reading posts on this site for several months now and have finally registered... This board is so encouraging!! Thanks everyone for sharing your info with all of us newbies to raw. I actually have gone off and on for several years. I struggle with staying raw, but health issues are keeping me sticking with it this time. I want to be healthy to raise my children :)

Hello everyone!
I'm glad to find a raw support group that has members in my area! Wohoo!
I am originally from Eastern Wa. (Selah) and there was NO ONE raw there, but me ( off and on).
My hubby is in the Army so we got stationed here at Ft. Lewis about 7 months ago, but bought property in Graham so we could have our horses with us! I told him I wouldn't move without them. LOL
Anyways short bio-just turned 35 and a serious health challenge (first discovered when I was 22) has yet again pushed me to living food to heal and flourish. Long story....ulcerative colitis is a degrading joy stealer. Truly horrid. I fasted late Feb. for about 3 weeks. Some juice, some fruit and finally the last three days water only. Never felt better! That's the crux of uc-you feel good if you DON'T eat-like death if you do....
Well anyways I'm working on staying raw now and rebuilding health and keeping the digestion working properly. Fruit and or juices are my friend! They never upset my digestion.
So "hi" everyone and thank you for all your bio's, photos, recipes, and support. I've been reading for a while.
Pam
