A friend of mine e-mailed me to ask about dental work and antibiotics. I'd be grateful if you would share your experiences so I can offer my friend some alternatives. Thanks! - Suzy

"Who can I talk to re: dental work & antibiotics? I haven't taken one in 25 years - would you take it if your dentist insisted? 1 dentist said he wouldn't treat me if I refuse. I just want to take my oreganol & oregabiotic & stuff like that. Do I take the scrip & pretend to take it? Its hard enough to find a skilled dentist - I can't sacrifice dental competence for holistics. If I do take an antibiotic can I take probiotics to totally counteract bad effects?"

Did you ask why you need to take it? Do you have a heart problem? Or is the dentist trying to prevent infection to other teeth?

Apparently there is a Medical Condition that warrents you taking it. If you have any History of Heart issues they give it to you as a Heart Attack prevention. Sometimes just being older warrents it. Again I would ask.....WHY?
