Hey y'all!

So I'm at the 3 months/100%.

Past month, I've added green smoothies.

Past 2 weeks, wheat grass juice.

I can still hardly drag through the day!

So morning routine is:

2-4 glasses of water,

1-2 oz wheat grass juice

Then I make a large green smoothie - usually 2-3 cups packed greens, and orange and/or apple, and 2 bananas. I wait an hour after the wgj so consume the smoothie - usually pack it and drink on the train.....

3-5 times a week I work out before lunch, usually have a young coconut to open and drink as my "gatorade" when I switch from weights to treadmill.

My workouts are going downhill......

Eat at least 1-2 cups of greens with both lunch and dinner, sometimes up to 3 cups!

Still - no positive changes in energy, attitude, sleep, nothing. I feel exhausted and can barely face the new week on Monday! Can't keep up properly with work or home chores.

I don't know how long I can hang on if I don't see something changing - feeling better.

Any thoughts? ideas?

Thanks!

T-Bird, your diet looks great and my only suggestion would be add some fat because your working out alot and have read several raw books that mention adding fat when fatiqued. Hope this helps,
Trish

you need some fat - avocados, nuts, seeds, more fruit. You can't live on greens alone:)

Your diet sounds VERY cleansing.....so maybe you are dredging up more toxins than your body is able to eliminate! Colonics maybe?

You didn't mention any fruit that you are eating, your body needs carbs to function let alone work out. Maybe take a look at your carbs and make sure you're getting enough calories. You can check on fitday.com. Eating better should give you more energy not make you tired.

When feeling exhausted you need rest and sleep. You'll never eat your way to abundant energy reserves no matter how nutritionally dense your diet is.

I second this...some people do better low fat, some medium, some high. Experiment a little & find out what works for you.

thanks for replies.

I have about 2-5 fruits per day, not counting the bananas.

Usually have some nuts or seeds, or both with lunch and dinner. Just a small amount of pumpkin or sunflower seeds in with the greens, and have a nut based entree at least once a day, most days with the salads. Sometimes I have just a large salad but not usually - I'm a pretty big eater.. Not too much - maybe has a small handful. Also have a handful or two of flax seeds in cracker about 5x per week.

Avocados - it's hard to keep at just 1-2 day, lol! If they were cheaper - there'd be some trouble there!

I am surely getting enough calories as I am NOT losing weight, lol! And I'd like to lose about 30+ pounds. So far - no go. I'll lose just a pound or two, and then stay the same for 10+ days. Sometimes, gaining and losing that same pound or two over and over again. Then, after 2-3 weeks, I'll lose another pound. So at least going in the right direction, but painfully painfully slow.

I'd say I'm at about 90%+ organic. Most days - 100%. Sometimes, need some bananas or avocados and can't trek to my organic outlets so do with the regular. Try even harder to avoid things like tomatoes, peppers, etc that aren't organic.

I do eat some seaweed regularly - try for everyday, but not always make it.
