Yesterday I was celebrating my birthday with half a watermelon as a birthday cake (with candles on top, of course) and a salad. I had some lovely time with my family, my children loved the "cake", and we watched some home movies. Also, about two weeks ago I entered my third year of being raw. I can definitely notice a difference compared to a year ago. Both Luke and I love eating a lot of fruit these days, we eat fruit all day, and usually a salad in the evening. Also, we both progressed to a low-fat diet. Somehow, I cannot stand a fatty dressing in a salad anymore, I do not eat many nuts, and I do not eat avocadoes daily. This has been a totally spontanoeus change. I did not really expect this. In my first year, when I was eating quite a bit of nuts, I thought that that would never change, but it did. In my second year, I thought that I would just keep eating the way I did then, but this changed too. What I am trying to convey here is that you might get really surprised at the turn of events, in your raw food journey, as long as you are open to change.
I love this quote (from another board):
"I sometimes wonder how the squirrels and the deer and the cardinals and the dolphins and the polar bears are able to get along without Fitday, the internet, the Food Pyramid, and all the gazillion diet and nutrition books and even this discussion group! LOL."(Julie)
LOL!
