well after trying regular food again.. I want to try the raw diet again and I really could use some thoughts about what you are really supposed to eat. The last time I tried it I ate mostly fruit, but some nuts and a few vegetables, but not very many vegetables, and I guess I'd like to know what I'm really supposed to eat. thanks

I believe that the ideal diet is 50% fruit. 45% greens and the 5% mostly seeds with a few nuts if you wish.
This to me is the ideal diet because it is what our nearest relatives eat in the wild so I can assume that it was what my ancestors evolved eating and our digestive system is basically the same now.
Others will have a different idea on this.

May I suggest purchasing Alissa's book and DVDs? Full of the right info.

I agree with veganforlife. Alissa's is one of the best books on raw. It has EVERYTHING you need to know and will answers your questions.

After being raw for a while, I am looking for the same balance Sport has described. Victoria Boutenko recommends it after doing a lot of research on the amount of greens we need to in our diet.

That's it Fruit, Vegetables, Nuts and Seeds. There are tons of ways to put these together. Or you can make a Simple Green Smoothie or make RAWonder things with RAW Recipes combing these ingredients. I perfer to keep it Simple and eat Salads of things like a Turnip eatin like an Apple.
