Hello everyone,
I just learned about eating raw food from reading a summary from Perfect Health: The Natural Way by Mary-Ann Shearer. She mentioned about eating fruit or vegetable before a meal to protect white blood cells. I decided to test that out and noticed immediate weight loss. I recently had a baby boy 4 months ago and weight loss has been slow. Since I started eating more raw fruits and vegetables, the scale finally started to move down. I also got post nasal drip and then it turned into a cold. I didn't realized at that time, my body was detoxing from fruits and vegetables I added to my diet.
My cold and post nasal drip is gone, but my face broke out really bad. I also struggled with acne. I have been slowly adding more greens to my diet by trying green smoothies, salads before a meal, and fruit or veggie for snacks. I do noticed a big difference in energy and sleeping good.
I thought to introduce myself here since I have been snooping around here for the past couple of days. I find this site with the thread for Green Smoothie recipes. I was happy to find 70 of them! :) My name is Lauren and I live in Florida. I am a stay at home mom with 2 beautiful kids. I'm always trying to find new things for natural living and healthy food.
I have not read Alissa Cohen's book yet and I'm interested in reading it when I get the book. :)
