Any ideas for Butternut Squash

I just bought one, but I don't know what to do with it. I always wanted to try it. I know you can cook them, but can you eat them raw? Also What about Asparagus?

I shred the top part of the squash using a saladacco, and use the shreds as pasta. I top the shreds with either a marinara sauce or a nutty white sauce seasoned with garlic and herbs.

I take the fatter part of the squash and dice. Then I put into a food processor with a mango and some orange juice. Makes a great soup. I also like to sprinkle on top of this soup, some minced mint leaves and minced jalapeno! I love this combo!
