My husband and I moved from Rockford, Illinois about a year ago. I took raw food classes there from Brenda Richter, a raw food chef. She is still teaching classes and may be able to connect you to the other raw food people in the Rockford area. Her classes were great!

You might also check at Choices. They normally have a list of classes and other health events going on in the area. They also carry some of the raw food items that are difficult to find in Rockford.

I know how you feel. I think I'm the only person in Omaha that eats raw foods. We come back to Rockford occasionally to visit family and I meet with someone from the raw foods class to exchange recipes and information. I get alot of great ideas from this board. Although this is the first time I've ever responded.

There is also a group in Freeport from Hallelajah Acres (spelling?)that has a potluck. My friend goes to that but the group is not completely raw.
