Well, I mixed some turnip greens and spinach with blueberries, raspberries, strawberries and blackberries. I added soymilk (is that ok or is there something better?) to make it liquid. Turned out good, but not green! *L* Should I be adding fewer berries or do they all turn purple?

The blueberry and berries are neutralizing the color which is perfectly fine.
Soy milk isn't raw. If you want a milk, you can make a raw nut milk such almond.
I typically use water, fruits, banana and any greens.
Congratulations

I consider a green smoothie like a painting - no two are alike.
"Green" does not mean the color of your smoothie must be green - only that it contains greens. Color is not something I pay attention to ever.
In fact, if you are making a smoothies for a beginner who has never had one, I prefer that it NOT be green - otherwise the green color can scare them away. Throw in some black berries to darken the color, and a beginner is not so intimidated.
.
Yay!!! Me too!!! Only mine has not been green. Congradulations on your first.

Thanks, everyone.
Raw Angel, Do you have to make them? I mean, for now, I'm not sure I see myself going to the trouble. Maybe in time. I've seen like Almond milks at the store, I think. I'm assuming those aren't raw? For now, I may just let myself have them until I'm a little less lazy!

I have been drinking green smoothies in the morning for about a week now. Sometimes they are "green", sometimes not. I love putting spinach in there. I love starting off my day with them.

Oh Renee, making any nut milk is so easy. If it causes you to much grief, then don't worry and focus on the fact you are now eating greens. I wouldn't use soy milk perhaps rice milk or almond milk that you can buy. Nothing that you buy is raw.
If you change your mind about making the milk here is one easy recipe.
You need a nut bag or any gift bag close enought to a nut bag is fine.
Let's say you pick almond milk
1 cup of soaked almond
5 cup of water (4 cup if you like it rich)
Blend for about 3 min
Then pour it inside your nut bag and milk it. VOILA
If you want to add sweetner you can or vanilla. You can have it plain or add something inside.
If you want a chocolate milk, add two table spoons of raw cacao, sweetner (honey or raw agave) and vanilla. Delicious
Congratulations on your green smoothie, this is fantastic
