View Full Version : Yucky aftertaste!

I have a strange question. I am about 60-70% raw right now. I've changed my diet only 2 weeks ago. So, this morning I ate a banana. Something was wrong with that banana. It tasted yuck and had a horrible aftertaste. But it wasn't the banana..it was me. Everything I have eaten today has had that same nasty aftertaste. It's not mild, either, very strong.

The only thing I can think of as to why this is happening is that I'm (sorry tmi!) REEEAALLY constipated. I mean, UGH. So I'm starting to freak out a little. My face is breaking out, too. :( Help!

Is your tongue sore? Is it coated? You could have thrush. The only time I broke out on my face, I was taking too many vitamens and broke out in a zillion ity bity pimples.

They talk about a detox on here. Have no idea when it starts or when it ends or if it is just an adjustment to all the raw food.

If constipated, I would be sure to add more leafy greens. Green smoothies are a great way!

i experienced something semi-similar to this where nothing 'tasted right' and some things tasted downright bad. my body was asking for a fast, and after a brief 3-day juice fast, things started to become appealing again!

get a colonic! the gravity fed method is best.....You are not eliminating properly...obviously.....colonic would help! sort of a 'quick fix'...

Yes I was constipated a bit and had that as well.Mine was a bitter taste.Even water. Everything I ate tasted that way. So beat with it as it does pass.
I def would get colon clean though.

Thank you for the replies. I did some research on the net and did find that it's probably the elimination(or lack of!). I did a tongue scraping and the icky taste went away almost completely. But came back the next day, much less. So did another tongue scraping and it really helps.

I never knew that toxins could come out of your tongue. Gross!!:(

Well it must be contagious because here it is day 4 and I have a serious case of bad breath.
