View Full Version : I feel so guilty
At the end of my first day, I was mostly raw. I never did eat the eggs. I ate bellpepper, squash, strawberries, a total of 3 bananas, 2 or 3 kiwi's. I did eat some cheese. I feel so guilty for eating the fruit. It has been such a "No No" for such a long time. I was able to eat berries here and there, but never bananas. Oh, I had some plain yogaurt. No sugar in it. It tasted like sour cream. I threw it in my smoothie. Not much, a couple of tablespoons. I feel very full right now and worried because I ate more than 20 carbs...
I don't see how we loose weight on this. My stomach hurt a little this evening but it went away.
Aleesha, wow, I saw your before and after photos. I am amazed. I am also looking at some of the others here. Incredible. This is very difficult for me to believe that I can loose weight eating all this food.

Feeling guilty because of eating fruit? Is this a joke? ;)
If not, then read some raw books. Cheese and y. don't belong to the raw-food-lifestyle
Take care, Eva

your stomach probably hurt because of the poor food combining (dairy/fat and fruit do not go well together). hey, you've been "brainwashed" like most people...fruit is not the enemy! eat up!!
i second that...give 100% a go for a month or two and see how you feel...you won't regret it :)

Dairy can leave you Bloated and feeling bad and mixed with Fruit,,,,Try eating smaller portions of Fruit. Your body just needs to get rid of all the junk and after detoxing some you will find you can eat things you could not before.
RAW is NOT a Weight Loss Program, it's a LifeStyle Change and weight loss is a By-Product. Not everyone RAW, lose weight. You can eats lots of fats, RAW but these are healthy Fats that are Not artery clogging. Regular exercise must be included if you want to lose weight also.
Fruits and Vegetables have always been Low Cal. and you can eat as much as you choose.

Live on live food.
Honor and trust the process.
Results come simply by eating all the yummilicioso food you want(funny thing is one gets full soooo fast) and make sure it is living. No cook-ie for you. (only raw ones...hehee

I lost 100lb when I went raw the first time, with no exercise & eating as much 100% raw as I wanted. When I went back to cooked food, my calories were typically 1/3 to 1/4 of the calories I ate when raw, yet I gained that weight back over seven years of not being 100% raw.
I am also sensitive to carbs - cooked carbs!
Raw fruits & vegetables are processed differently than cooked carbohydrates; the sugars hit your bloodstream much more slowly with raw foods. Also, the raw fruits & veggies don't feed bad bacteria & yeast(as opposed to the friendly kind) in your gut like cooked carbs do, so the harmful, bloating, nasty chemicals these microbes release during digestion are no longer present.
Try to eat fruits by themselves, though - otherwise they kind of sit in the stomach and ferment. If you want to continue having dairy, consider taking enzymes to aid digestion of the dairy protein & fat.
Good luck!
