Hi everyone,

I joined this forum last fall and haven't posted much. I've been on and off raw since 1998 when I was 18 years old and diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

Last October finally found out it has been Lyme Disease this whole time.

I spoke with a Biocom 2000 practitioner on Fri and she highly advised maintaining an alkaline state, so here I am!

I did nearly all raw yesterday, but did have some steamed asparagus and Ezekial bread dipped in EV olive oil and fresh garlic.

Today, have the headache of headaches!

What do you do to help? Lemon water??

This happens every time I get off of sugar, I've stayed vegetarian since 1998, but not totally vegan because I love chocolate!

I want my life back and would rather not do the years of antibiotics if I can help it.

Raw has helped me in the past with severe anxiety due to what I now know is Lyme. Raw has enabled me from age 18 to 19 to be able to go to college (I was just too sick and lived with my parents for a year after highschool).

right now, I am just kicking myself as to why I didn't stick with it? Every Lyme relapse I've had, I've told myself it's just anxiety due to stress, even the muscle twitches and brain fog, I made excuses, thinking I was a hypchondriac, even when I went down to almost skeletal proportions due to being so sick, I just said it was all stress. Ugh!

Our oldest child (age 7) just tested positive for Lyme (congenitally), and I've just been so stressed out, feeling awful about it.

So if it's OK, I may come here to lean on your guys if temptation comes, it's hard to stick with the raw diet when you are so stressed and have no where to turn =)

Anyhow, if you have any ideas, let me know! I've only had a few clementines today and am going downstairs right now to eat a big salad with avocado.

Take care =)

Welcome :) Chocolate? Not only are there vegan versions of it but you can also make the raw kind. A water fast would help against the headaches imo. Get well soon. Cheers from Eva

a long hot soak in an epsom salt bath might help

Hi Ocean!
If the headaches you get are migraines, feverfew taken daily helps prevent those while you transition/detox. White willow bark is good for headache pain, also. My best friend used to rub a little lavender essential oil on my temples when I had headaches; that plus relaxing and breathing deeply help as well.

Do you juice? Maybe a sweet juice, like grape, apple, carrot, etc. would help by giving your body some easily accessible natural sugar? This is just a suggestion.

So, for Lyme disease, they give you antibiotics? There are plenty of herbal/raw antibiotics you can use instead. For example, 9 cloves of garlic per day is the same as taking antibiotics. You will be stinky, but it really works (this is what I did when I had neon green stuff pouring out of my ears & lumps the size of eggs in my lymph glands a few years ago - I ate sprouted wheat, swam in a swimming pool every day for 2 weeks, then went on an airplane = ouch! - the garlic had the lumps/green stuff gone in 36 hours). I blend 3 cloves with 1 cup of warm water and a splash of apple cider vinegar, then just chuck it down thrice a day.

Colloidal silver is also helpful, if you don't want to be stinky...my mom used it for antibiotics (I usually can't afford it). There are lots of immune strengthening herbs and foods which are helpful. For kids, I love the book An Encyclopedia of Natural Healing for Children and Infants by Mary Bove, N.D. (I've used it more for myself, though! LOL)

As for chocolate, I am also a chocolate lover, so I make things with raw cacao when I am having cravings. I like easy recipes, so it is usually something like a smoothie or cacao syrup (made with blended dates or agave nectar or honey) on top of fruit "ice creams".

I'm so sorry your son is ill. My son also has congenital issues, and I went through the process of feeling guilty and blaming myself - it is amazing all the ways we can find to do this. It is not your fault. If anything, it is the tick's fault & the fault of the medical professionals who misdiagnosed you, so you weren't properly informed. You did the best you could with the information you had.

Best Wishes & I'm here if you want to talk,

Michele

Hey guys,

Thanks for replying =)

the headache was much better yesterday. Yeah, I did eat the vegan chocolate for awhile (Endangered Species with the mint/dark chocolate was my fav!), but then it got too expensive, hersheys was cheaper for my addiction. I know..bad!

I actually only took 3 of the 100 mg of Doxycycline that I was prescribed, I was supposed to take 300 mg/day.

I really don't know what to do for sure. Raw got me feeling pretty good, never 100% though. I didn't realize until I started reseaching the Lyme spirochete that it was such a strange/intelligent bacteria.

I did a lot of searches for raw food/Lyme and every one of them went on antibiotics as well as raw. There is much talk/speculation that this spirochete is a man created organism, which is why it can literally change it's shape from cell wall to cell wall deficient to cyst form in seconds. I think that every time I did raw, most of the bacteria goes into cyst form (meaning it doesn't like the current circumstances, so it can just hide for awhile). And I've read that it may still be able to do damage in cyst form.

The bacteria actually uses it's flagella to twist open white blood cells, then the WBC dies and the Lyme bacteria goes inside and wears this 'cloak carcass' around so that the host's immune system cannot fight it as it does recognize it as foreign. Normal bacteria do not do that. So I can strengthen my immune system, but if it can't see what it's fighting, then there isn't much that can be done. That's why there are so many people who are chronically ill with the disease.

I just don't know. I just ordered some frequency water that supposedly targets the spirochete and destroys it with the opposite frequency.

I don't know if it will work.

Right now I'm just doing what I know has helped (not totally healed, but definitely helped) me in the past.

If you know of anyone though who has had Chronic Lyme (meaning more than one year) and are willing to talk with me, I would appreciate it.

Thanks all though for your support and I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

You are right, lyme's is a serious bacteria, and anyone who has it should take all their antibiotics, as prescribed!
I agree with the epsom salt baths, especially with some essential oils dropped in there.
