I don't have a juicer but from what I understand you can sort of make juices with a blender. Just add water, the veggies you want, and strain with a nylon bag. Has anyone done this?

I want to start juicing every morning. I just don't know any recipes to make it palatable. I heard that you can add a lemon and an apple to make it taste better but I've never tried it.

I want to to be as nutritious as possible (ie lots of vitamins and minerals) without it being gross.

Do you guys have any recipes you could throw my way?

orange / strawberry / pineapple / spinach or other dark green you like ,
kales a very nutricious green if like it in this mixture

Green Lemonade

1 head of Romaine Lettuce
5 stalks of Kale (can sub baby spinach)
2 small lemons
2 large apples
fresh ginger, about a 2″ chunk (optional)

cantaloupe/ginger is very yummy and warming

cranberry/apple/ginger is tart and sweet. i love this one.

pineapple... mm mmmmmm good!!!

3 or 4 kale leaves
1/2 cucumber
2 apples
5 stalks celery
some parsley or cilantro

or

a bunch of parsley and 2 or 3 apples

Anyone have a good juice recipe that is similar to clamato juice or a spicy V8 type juice?

I like grapefruit and alfalfa sprout juice...they complement flavors somehow. You can squeeze the grapefruit and then do the sprouts in the blender then strain. Yum!

there's my tomato juice (soup) which is really nice.

tomatoes
ginger
garlic
cayenne, curry powder, kelp powder, smoked sea salt

sooooooooooo yummy.

remember to start with a little cayenne and slowly work your way up. ;)
