Don't know about being a "master", but did you make an extra THICK GS? Then spread it out on the Teflex and dehydrate until fruit roll-up like?

yeah that is what i did but i don't know it seems funky
i used lots of spinach, about 3 bananas, a couple of brazil nuts, a splash of flax oil some vitamineral green, 3-4 strawberries and a leaf or 2 of chard and about a cup of sunwarrior protein powder
set it at 115
the edges got flaky and dry and chippy....i trimmed em off,
ate em for bfast
(yummy)
and squared off the sides and bumped it up in thickness....even resquashed some of the different textures into "green squares" left it on and came to work
i would love a smooth yummy texture that i can roll up and take hiking
actually any dehydrator yums/ bars would be helpful.....i am striking out. i have tried multiple variations of recipes and they are all weird and have no snap or sense of correct texture
i use an excalibur:confused:
thanks!

Hmmmm, interesting because I've made it multiple times and just made my favorite green smoothe (whatever that was/is at the time) THICKER (using less liquids initially) and then spread it out, dehydrated it (could take a long, LONG time), like a couple days and rolled it up, cut it into 'chunks' and I was good to go...

I just do straight up fruit and greens, no added anything else, pour it out and let it go overnight at 105. I always add a banana if I have one because that gives it some thickness/body, but it certainly works without banana, too.
Takes longer or shorter to finish depending on how wet the mix is to begin with, but I just check on it every few hours or whatever and take it out when it's done.
Try it without the nuts, protein powder and oil and see what you get? :)

thanks. i added the nuts and pp because i am still looking for light and dense food for some long back packing journeys with lots very steep and intense climbing that will tear my muscles up
i am trying not to stress but 3 days of snow camping at high elevation......i need some goods

yeah, i suspect its the nuts and protein powder that will make it crumbly/hard instead of "leathery". i would try it with just the fruit and veg, and carry the nuts and protein powder to eat separately on your hike.
I would def take dates and nuts too. good high energy. and yummy.

throw some flax or chia in there.
try these spinach tortillas (http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=466019) for a good starting point. They turned out great for me.
