Compost question.

I have been reading about composting. I have read conflicting info on citrus peels being added to compost piles. Some say yes some say no. what's the consensus here?

I've never heard that. The only reason I can think of is Oil in the peel. Composting and Oil does not Mix. But I blend everything in the Vita-Mix and pour it around My Trees and they thrive. I don't have the Answer for you.

I found out that if you are worm composting, you shouldn't add fresh onions or citrus.
Once the onion peel, for instance, gets icky and moldy, then the worms can compost it.

Like all things, I'd go for moderation. Hopefully citrus peels would be a small percentage of your total compost?
