How long does apple cider vinegar keep?

Hiya!
I have been dabbling with raw foods on and off for over two years now...and I have a bottle of Bragg's apple cider vinegar that I would like to use, but considering I bought it two years ago, I am somewhat hesitant!

I bet it would be okay. I know I've had a bottle that long and it seems fine. If there's a number on the back, maybe call and ask, but I'm thinking because it's fermented, it's gonna be okay...

The Vinegar Institute conducted studies to find out and confirmed that vinegar’s shelf life is almost indefinite. Because of its acid nature, vinegar is self-preserving and does not need refrigeration. White distilled vinegar will remain virtually unchanged over an extended period of time. And, while some changes can be observed in other types of vinegars, such as color changes or the development of a haze or sediment, this is only an aesthetic change. The product can still be used and enjoyed with confidence.

what do all of you do with the " mother " when the bottle is empty? I feel bad just throwing it away.

you can refill the bottle with apple juice, leave it out for a week and presto! more ACV

You have mother left? I never do. I shake it up everytime I use the ACV, but yeah, what matt said...

maybe it's because I don't use very much of the ACV, and the mother just grows and grows??
