These appeared in the August 2, 2005 - Article on the RawFood Detox - by Natalia Rose. I posted them here since they were in that magazine on every newstand in grocery stores: People Read This, so I am not flamed! Not all ingredients are raw!

Green Lemonade - recommended to drink upon rising

1 head romaine or celery
5 to 6 stalks of kale ( you may sub any greens like chard, collards, spinach for the lettuce and the kale)
1 to 2 apples
1 whole lemon ( does not need to be peeled)
1-2tbs fresh ginger is optional
juice - makes about 15 oz

Marianted Portobello Steaks

3 tbs maple syrup
Celtic salt and ground black pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together; marinate for two hours or up to two days. Serve over salad greens with Raw Ranch dressing - 1 serving ( it makes a lot, so it feed 2 of us)

2 cloves of garlic

Place first 5 ingredients and 1/4 of the ice in a blender and blend well. Slowly add more ice until the mixture is thick; blend well. Add coconut water to make blending easier, if desired. Freeze to desired consistency.

Thanks for the recipes. They sound delicious and I am so glad that these were in a mainstream magazine.

I just made the green lemonaid. It was great!!! I used bananas instead of apples (didn't have any) and I peeled the lemon (wasn't organic), no ginger. Yummy. This was actual my first "green smoothie" experience, I am catagorizing it as a green smoothie. It was great and I will be doing this more often!!!

I hadn't thought of that - but I am going to try it in the morn. Thansk for the suggestion.
