I have been raw now for 5 weeks (100%) and I have noticed a lot of my allergies have died down. I have a question for those of you who've been raw for awhile. I have some severe allergies to poison ivy (with the associated allergies to mango and cashews) and red pepper in all it's forms.
Has anyone had allergies like these and had them go away? These make me miserable - my body will get covered in itchy little blisters for weeks if the tiniest drop of poison ivy oil gets on me through the air. I haven't eaten red pepper (cayenne) willingly for years but sometimes one of it's derivatives gets added to food I eat without me knowing and then whammo - I'm down for the count for weeks.
I haven't had an outbreak recently (in the past 5 weeks) but in the past to shorten my agony, I've gone to the doctor and always they put me on steroids and lots of antihistimines. Now I know how bad that is for me, but how will I cope if this happens to me again?
Any ideas?
