About Demi: I thought she was raw as well until I read somewhere that she vehemently denies it (why??) and in fact did a commercial where she was wolfing down a big greasy burger...

It's disappointing to hear, especially as she would be such stunning proof of the beauty of raw food.

Elvis? I seriously doubt he was. Fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches are not Raw…

Maybe Demi wants to keep it a secret weapon.....otherwise she might not be able to keep ashton if EVERYONE goes raw!!!!


Cuz the younger crowd would then LOOK younger too! lol!


The article says that elvis tried to be raw - not that he made it....sad....

According to a new book, Elvis Presley himself tried to be a raw foodist! Here's an excerpt from: Elvis Presley's Own Story: If I Can Dream, by Larry Geller and Joel Spector with Patricia Romanowski, based on the secret diary kept by Larry Geller, Elvis' friend and confidant: One day in 1973, he [Elvis] asked, "What do you eat?"
As if he didn't know. My "bizarre" eating habits--I was a vegetarian then--were the subject of countless Memphis Mafia wisecracks. "Well," I said, "I eat as much raw food as I can, raw fruits and vegetables, and I don't eat meat."
After I had explained my approach to nutrition, he nodded. Later that night, as we were all sitting down to dinner at the Holmby Hills house in Los Angeles, he said, "So that you all know what's happening around here, I'm changing my diet. Because the spiritual teachings say that you have to eat right, I'll be eating a lot of vegetables now, a lot of salads, and raw fruits. I'm telling the maids, and that's what they're going to make for me." Out went the brownies, the ice cream, the chicken-fried steak, the burgers. Elvis ate only fresh, nutritious, healthy foods--for two days. Then it was back to the same old nonsense...

fried foods and peanut butter look and sound bad to me now.. not that they ever looked really good in the first place.... oil freaks me out. I was that girl that took ALL the meat topping off pizza and put tons of paper towl on the cheeze to soak it all up before i even had a bite, it's so gross.

wow! that's great to hear bowie is raw! i'm a huge fan but didn't know that. a while back he suffered a heart attack. that's awesome that he made such a huge step in the healthy direction!! hopefully he was able to quit smoking too.
