O.k., one of my comfort foods was Chicken Teriyaki. Loved it, loved it, loved it. After become Raw and Vegan I new that I could not participate in eating anymore chickens, but still craved my favorite dish.

So . . . Found a recipe for Pineapple Teriyaki Sauce. Poured sauce over portabella mushrooms and placed in dehydrator for 6 hours. OH MY GOD!!!!! It is so yummy and easy to make!!!!!! Now, I can have my old comfort food in Raw form. YIPEE!!!!

P.S. - I modified and find it best to let portobellas marinate first in suace before putting them in food processor.

Ooh...pretty please, can you share that pineapple teriyaki sauce recipe? Thanks! This is so-o right up my alley, and I'll bet this would be great on some cauliflower "rice" and veggies too...

Combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until smooth.

1/2 cup cubed pineapple
1/4 cup raw sesame oil
1/4 cup sliced red onion
3 tablespoons tamari
2 tablespoons evaporated cane juice
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Pince of black pepper
pinch of cayenne

Transfer to a 1-quart glass jar and dehydrate uncovered at 115 degrees for at least 2 hours, or until thick. Alternatively, serve the sauce immediately (it will be thinner if it is not dehydrated.

I martinated my portobellas for an hour in this sauce and then placed on dehydrator sheets for six hours. Yummy, Yummy.

Enjoy

I found it at my local health food store. If you can't find it in the store, you might try on-line.

That's great! I used to only eat chicken teriyaki or chicken and vegetables wherever i'd go out as that was the only way to get veggies without the bread or pasta.
