I'm almost 10 weeks raw. Yesterday was one of those days were i wanted to eat everything in site. My time of the month is almost here and although since going raw my pms symptoms have gotton better there is still a day or two where I could eat the world. So yesteday was it. Now I didn't eat any crap but I did eat tons of rasins, dates, figs raw desserts I made. Get the idea of the sugar trail. I over did it. So much so I was zapped of energy and there I sit being hard and judgemental on myself. If I have leaned anything from this journey is to stop that type of mental behavior however somtimes it creeps in. My real question is " What next" What is inside of me that is still giving me this sense of being tired, this sense of needing to overeat sugar. Would you do a cleanse? I have to say my pms from last month and this month is a momumental differece so i know I'm on my way to healing this. I just want to know if I need a little more help as far as cleanses or juicing ect. Now also I do not food combine my raw yet. I just eat the raw I want when I want it. Do you think I would benefit from combining. Thanks.

personally, when i find myself wanting to eat everything in sight i try to step back and figure out what it is inside of me that is making me feel that way. usually it's all mental...i want to fill a void because i feel lonely, tired, sad or i just had a bad day. when i learn to sit with those feelings i can control my urge to eat too much.

although dried fruit is considered raw (if it's been dried at low temps) it's not the healthiest thing around. being void of water and basically acting like candy to your teeth...i would suggest that you not rely on dried fruit when you want to eat a lot. try something else...tell yourself that when you want to eat lots that you will eat 'x' and make that something healthier...maybe grapes or mango...you will be able to control your overeating a lot easier if you are eating 1 fresh fruit instead of dried fruits and raw desserts.

you might benefit from some kind of fast or cleanse...but above all, listen to your body.

rawpromises, I love what gsforlife said. "To listen to your body". If one does that, you really cannot go wrong (unless its saying give me pizza store pizza..haha). There a difference between cravings and callings. That is your body asking for, calling for?

It is what it is. We have it, alot of times, there is something else to do or be. In reality, it is perfect just the way it is. So you ate what you wanted for a day. To nurture or comfort. So what right?

Its not one day of eating or two, it is what we at over the course of the week, the month ,the year and years that makes our body whole or not.

It is ok right where you are. Listen to your body. Enjoy the process. Love yourself more!

See this is why I love you guys.

gs4life- You are so right. this morning when I woke up I realized that yesteday was the three month anniversary of my mom's death. I had a pretty good day until the evening and then it went haywire. I didnt' even put two and two together.

Artgirly, too bad you don't live closer. I could always call you for a pick me up with your words of wisdom.

Seeeee it was simply your day to love yourself and nurture you. Your body remembered that at the time even though you did not until today.

Trust your body, it knows. Listen when it speaks for what it needs and follow that.

There is a ton of help here for you and distance does not matter sweet. We are here for you. I DO personal, one on one raw coaching though.yipeeee

I have been doing raw food for two years now and i am still dealing with being tire too but not as near as before i start, BECAUSE i have the energy to function normally now. My body is taking time to heal, right now, i am eating more in a simple way and feel guided to do a gentle detox program, perhaps and juice fast to give a brake to my intestine. I had developed allergies but it could be due that i moved and there are more rag weeds. I do watch for certain food combination only because i try to avoid to have gas. Gas is toxic for my body.

I noticed a dramatic change when i started to take therapeutic enzyme. They are expensive but are known to repair our cells directly and leaky guts.

If you don't have gas, i recommend that you keep doing what you are doing because this is important that you FIRST get your mind comfortable with this diet. This is why Alissa teaches about freedom. If you are too religious about your diet, you will get discourage and end up eating more armful food.

If you really feel that you are ready to optimize your diet, yes looking up for some food combination might be a good start. Listen to your body, it will guide you. You can do more research and read some Dr. that do raw food.

My body wants a cleanse now and i will just do it for her.

Best wishes
