You also have whole foods, and sweetwater organic farms. they have a farmers market on sundays, from 12-4pm. It's a happenin' place. :)

I'm in Port Richey! Glad to see others here from my area! can you share where you've been shopping for good deals, what kinds of foods you've been preparing? I haven't switched yet, I'm transitioning more fresh veggies in. My family is visiting from Michigan, and my mom is dead set against raw, so I'm waiting until she leaves before I really get going. I may not completely cut out chicken yet (I don't eat much red meat or pork), but we'll see. I need to lower my blood pressure and I've been doing a lot of reading about how eating more raw can help reduce BP.

hmmm, interesting zoocrew10. my family that was visiting just left for michigan last week. so I was eating the food that was left over that I had bought for them. raw food was down to about 50%. Didn't feel like I could just throw out the other. I shop at publix, (not cheap) palm harbor hfs (not cheap, but more selection than publix) once in a while will go to whole foods, or sweetwater, but it is about 30 miles or so from me. there is a farmers market in NPR, on sat. but haven't made it there yet. I only eat simple foods, don't have a dehydrater, but love my vitamix. BP not an issue for me, and have lost about 20 # on raw so far. taking longer than I planned, since raw went on vacation when my family was here, lol.

Oceanluv - are you from MI too? We moved down here in Feb, 2007. I personally shop mostly at Walmart - I have a large family (10) so that's the best for pricing for me. Have you ever gone to the flea market in Hudson on 19? the fruit/veggie stands have really great pricing. My husband picked up a bunch of beautiful slicing tomatoes for $2.50 yesterday - he probably had 7 or 8 tomatoes in the back (great price!!)
