Wow, I was shocked when I logged back in and realized that I have been gone for almost 2 years. I am not sure if there is anybody on the RFT that I remember. Life has been full of some wild and crazy changes----I have since become a Nutritional Therapist, Re-married to an amazing man and Relocated to another city......well, thats just a few of the many changes ;-) My body is communicating that it needs a 100% RAW challenge. Through the past year I have "mostly" maintained at least 70-80% when I could. So, I return with great motivation . As a certified LOLF chef- I know what to do, haha I just need some support and encouragement :-) So glad to be back!!!!!

Thanks Vegan for Life!
Yes, My body knows whats right- its my brain that makes the bad choices that deter my healthy pursuit. I miss the vitality that I had. I recently had a spectracell analysis done and found several deficiencies that I need to correct so, I am certain that a 100% program will correct them :D So, here we go- day 1 of a new journey!

Thanks Spicyfull....!
Along with this wonderful man came a 15 year old stepson.....! So now I have 3 blessings ages 8-15!!!! My husband is in awe of most of the food I make and my step son eats anything I put in front of him as long as its not tomatoes-haha! I have overheard my husband saying "you wouldn't believe the stuff she can make- and its so healthy too! Its really sweet- He is so supportive of anything/everything I do! I am so in love with this man :-)
My husband was somehwhat nutritionally deficit when we met and has recently admitted to driving through fast food places for a secret "fix" only to realize that 1) He felts guilty 2) It tastes awful 3) THE best.......It makes him feel sick and bloated-haha! He believes in everything I tell him- its just at 41 years old- he has some habits that are just gonna take longer to break ;-)
His dad has a gorgeous garden in southeast Texas and loads us up every other weekend. He has also started his own little mini-vineyard. I took a date nut torte a few weekends ago---IT was a hit!
So when he sees the sparkle in my eye (ya know its only a few weeks away!) He will embrace it too---maybe I can get him to do a week at a time? Just see how he feels.........
Thanks for the warm welcome ya'll (had to throw some Texas slang in there!)

Wednesday, March 25, 2009:
Check in for surgery is tomorrow at 5:30 a.m. I suppose the actual surgery time will be around 7:00 or so. I am having a modified radical mastectomy on the right side including all existing lymph nodes in the first three quqadrants (under arm, shoulder and collar bone area) removed. And on the left, a simple mastectomy to try and prevent any subsequent activity on that side in the future (Charlie calls it a bi-lateral lop-em-off-o-me (his humor keeps me going at my lowest points sometimes - what would I do without him)).
This evening, my loving church family annointed me with holy oil and prayed the most wonderful prayers over me - covering me with the peace and strength of Christ. I am nervous, yes. I am anxious, yes. I am blessed indeed.
I am posting this so that collectively we can all send her energies in whatever higher power you all believe in. Power works in numbers...

Thanks guys,
I am off to read Anna's journal----I have been walking the Breast Cancer path with a close friend of mine for the past 6 months! She is scheduled for her last chemotherapy session on May 19th. She then has her surgery- I will share with her, Anna's blog for strength and encouragement. I will send Anna my prayers and love today.
EVERY day is a gift......Live with Passion!

Welcome back Faith!
I'm so sad to hear the news about Anna, I'd heard something might be going on but not what exactly. I remember her as being so wonderfully helpful, lovely, and such and inspriation with her wonderful photos on this board. 'Maraw' is just one of those posters who sticks out in your mind as being one of the 'radiant' ones. :(
I'm sending as many positive thoughts and as much energy her way as I can muster!!!

Thanks for the RE-Welcomes....! I am already feeling so wonderful :-) Had some bean soup last night and was just so nauseated after- dragged my hubby out for a 3 mile walk in the cool night air. The sun is shining so brightly today- sat outside this morning with my spinach/ginger juice- I made a promise to my body today to nourish it not destroy it. Over the years my RAW journey has been very tumultous. I am very Type A and I would beat myself up with any slip or failure. I have certainly learned and, now share with clients----that we are either stepping towards wellness or stepping away from it with every action and choice we make. It is more forgiving to keep this perspective and I am more likely to love and nourish my body with living foods IF I accept that there will be a few stumbles along the way. I hope you have each had a wonderful weekend so far and have an amazing day. Do something to make your spirit proud today- I am off to cycle to the lake and absorb the sun!
Much Love!
by the way....I have been trying to indulge and try new Veggies---My new find and love is Kohlrabi---The root is like an apple/Jicama combination (cut into strips and toss in a bag with Lemon juice, sea salt and tumeric) YUMMY! Ton's of Calcium. Then I juice the greens:D
