I posted this question on another board where there is a thread about going raw, and then realized that I should post it here, where the experts are.

I'm doing so well on this!! I'm amazed at how few cravings there actually are. I'm usually so full that I don't have the need for anything else! For a couple of days, my automatic response was to eat LESS, because I was 'dieting'. I soon realized, however, that I could really eat as many veggies as I want. This is very liberating for me.

There is one thing I'm concerned with, though. I've been having low blood sugar spells. Diabetes runs in the family, and I'm worried that I'm messing with my blood sugar levels by eating only quick-burning sugars in fruits and veggies. I've been eating nuts as well, but I don't know if this is doing the trick, because I still am having a problem with the spells. I haven't been able to get ahold of Alissa's book yet, does anyone have any advice for me?

I think that the more you eat raw fruits and veggies the better your blood sugar levels will be. Diabetes is caused by refined sugar, not natural sugar. It's a man made condition. Are you getting your blood tested and it says its low? Maybe you are detoxing and it's fluctuating. Just keep eating lots of fruits and veggies, as much as you want when you are hungry.

I have the same problem!! I will be out and about and all of a sudden I HAVE to have something or I feel like I'm going to pass out. Thats why I'm scared to juice fast....where will I get juice all of a sudden haha! I haven't come up with a solution except for sticking with greens only, but that is not fun! Let me know if you come up with a way to manage this!
Warmest,
Julie
