Are herbal tea's okay to drink? I haven't had a hot drink for 5 months and every now and then I think I'd love a cup of tea. Today I came across a place that sells organic Chamomile and cinnamon tea it's a relaxing, naturally caffeine free infusion of organic whole chamomile flowers and cinnamon flakes. But is this strictly raw I'm 100% and want to stay that way. Any views on herbals?

Well the best way to have raw tea is buy some live camomile plants and then pick the blossoms and the leaves put them in your dehydrator for a few hours. Then when you are ready you can pour hot but not boiling water over them. Wala! teeeeea.

I drink teas (herbal and green). The way I see it is it's a personal choice..follow your intuition. You'll know if your body is ok with it.:)

if a cup of herbal tea will make you feel good, then go for it. there are no raw police...you only need to answer to yourself and your body. enjoy the tea :)

personally, i think herbal teas, especially if they are done as infusions; ie add hot water to a good amount of *dried herb and let it sit 4 hours or overnight, are not only comforting and enjoyable, but can actually provide a good amount of nutrition. apparently using the hot water and letting it sit that long actuallly draws nutritional components out of the cells and into the water.so for me its like an enjoyable additional nutritional boost that keeps me from worrying about vitamins/supplements even if my diet at times doesnt seem to be mineral-rich enough depending on what im eating and what my body needs. i use boiling water because i think this does a better job of breaking the cell walls, and my body doesnt seem to react badly to the boiled water, but you could just use whatever temperature you are comfortable with. i say if you want it and your body doesnt object, go for it. i dont think hot tea is really a big deal in terms of the difference between 100% raw or not 100% raw, but others may differ.

Ditto! Didn't at first, but now I do. It's a small battle I've chosen. If that makes me 98% Raw? So be it. Send the RP (Raw Police) after me!:D:cool:
