Anyone know if freeze dried fruits & veggies are considered raw?
The Whole Foods by me carries these

I've had those before. They are intensely flavorful, especially the freeze dried strawberries. Nice little nibbles to take to a movie or pack in your suitcase.

Are they raw? I would guess they are the same level of rawness as any frozen or dehydrated food.

I used to eat the strawberries & blueberries all the time, but I haven't bought them in ages. Not really on purpose, I kind of just forgot about them. Then I noticed them on the shelf the other day and saw they have a bunch more types now.

I was thinking the same thing - probably as good/bad as dehydrated, but I have never heard anyone mention them before.

We have actually discussed these here a couple of times since I started hanging around.
A search should pull up some good threads.
In any case, there is not really anything about the freeze drying process that should take the "rawness" away from them.
We eat the heck out of that stuff around here, especially the kids. We make $100+ orders from justtomatoes.com every month, just about. Love the stuff!

The grapes are AWE. SOME. I love them, and I'm about to order a large tub of just grapes. YUMMY!
