:D:Dwow, did i learn 2 things yesterday--enlightening and reaffirming & encouraging. i thought i should share:

first--i have been about 99% raw for nearly nine weeks. i have had four cheats, as i call them, of lightly steamed fresh veggies and rice. i "let" mylself eat this on purpose. i really miss that food. anyhow, the 1st 3 times i ordered it and they made it fresh. the veggies were pretty crunchy still. i felt fine afterwards, truthfully. maybe a TAD "full" but not icky. then my husb picked some up for me and they did NOT make it fresh and it looked wilted and it was soft/limp. i ate it anyhow. i felt like crap afterwards. bloated, restless, yucky. hmmmm..... either i am really losing my taste for anything cooked or it was TOO cooked and htat made a difference--?

then i read a post on here with a link to another raw site and i hopped around on that and my gut feelings were reaffirmed--first that montel williams (who i already knew had MS) went raw (& its helping him!!) and then this new (to me) rawsite that said (among a million other things!) that our health is in our own hands, that getting a disease is not a "luck of the draw" type thing but that WE are directly responsilbe for our health--good or bad. to hear that MS is my fault was wonderful!! b/c it means if i DID it, i can UN-do it!! how empowering!! & itsnot that raw food heals, but that eating it & not inapporpriate stuff LETS our bodies heal themselves!! like nature intended.
yay!!!! talk about motivation for slow progress.

so great!!! great info!! the site is www.rawfoodexplained.com thank you to whoever shared it yesterday!!! :}

Great news! I'm happy for you. I know someone who healed her MS on raw. As soon as she eats some nonorganic stuff the tingling in her hands comes back. She did become very sensitive but also very healthy since being raw.
Get well soon and enjoy this beautiful path.

Cheers from Eva

I see that you can turn your challenge around on raw foods. I ask, when I am about to eat cooked, "Is this what you want? Do you want all this brings?"
I know you will do it.I cant wait to hear about your recovery sweet.

Great attitude!

When most people get told that good health is in their hands and not the luck of the draw (i.e. that it's mostly what they are dong that is making them sick) they'd get defensive. What a great way to turn it round and make it great that it is in your hands!

I hope you get the best of all the great raw benefits. :D

Thank you all for the encouragemt and info i have gathered here.
i have always been a big fan of "personal accountability". it is FAR better to feel responsible than to feel victimized by illness.
thank you so much!!

Artgirly,
i have felt better inch by consistent inch since going raw. not quite "normal" yet but damn close! things that were numb & tingly have decreased by at least 40% nad some are about 80% better. that's progress i cannot deny!! not as fast i would like but hardly anything IS as fast as i would like!! haha. patience is not one of my virtues...haha.
Thank you all!!!

:)
