Hello!!
I am super excited that my fiance has agreed to try RAW with me for 30 days!! We are starting today, and in exactly 30 days, it will be the day before our wedding!! How cool is that!
I am so excited to have his support! I have tried going raw by myself, but seeing him and my son eat all their cooked foods was very very hard! I think it will be great for my son too! He is 16 months old, so I don't think it will be too hard of a change for him. I am thinking I will replace his cows milk with green smoothies, which he seems to love. Does this sound like a good idea, nutritionally speaking??
Yesterday, we cleaned out our kitchen and put all our non raw food in rubbermaids, and even put away our toaster and toaster oven. I can't believe how much junk we had!!
This morning we are going to Kins to load up on fresh fruits and veggies, and to superstore to get some frozen berries and nuts. We are going to do the best we can with getting certified raw ingredients, but $$ is a huge issue for us. We are trying though!!
I was a little concerned about what I read about agave last night! I though it was all raw and healthy, and I was extremely disheartened to find out that it is highly processed and fattening. Are there any other products often called for in raw recipes that you don't use?? I was discouraged to find that I spent quite a bit of money on something I thought would be good for me, only to find out it is actually worse, and I would like to avoid that again in the future!
Thank you all so much for your help and support!!
