Well I figured if I didn't post I would keep putting it off and lurk for who-knows-how long.
I started raw last Tuesday for too many reasons to list in this first posting. I have to admit I'm a little overwhelmed and kind of mentally shocked at how different this is from my current eating/lifestyle habits.
Already I've experienced some incredible changes but I'm afraid without support I won't be able to stick with it.
I'm grateful to have found this forum and hope to learn from you all.

Welcome!
Stick with it, the benefits just keep coming!
And if you need support, come back here regularly and post what you need help with, I'm sure there will be lots of sage suggestions.
Also remember, even if you 'fail' the first time round, you've had insight into what it's like to be at another level of healthiness and that awareness never goes away. So the seed is planted and people return time and again, until eventually it becomes really easy.

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcomes.
Ok, I have kind of a weird question...
I've been doing green smoothies daily and-I'll just come out and say it-my bowel movements have been, um, well green. This morning almost black. Is this normal?. Will it continue? Can one have too many greens? I bought the book green for life and she says that a person should have about two full bunches of greens a day and I'm doing about half that.
Also it seems as though I'm pretty much hungry all day. I'm either drinking a smoothie or eating fruits and veggies. It's kind of time consuming. Will I get to a point where it will start leveling out and I won't be as hungry?
I'm also doing 90 minutes of hot yoga daily-which I've always done and I seem to get that low blood sugar feeling...
thanks for listening.

Yes, it's normal. Keep doing what you are doing. And are you drinking enough water? Sometimes when we FEEL hungry? We are really thirsty.
Remember, everyBODY is different...

what veganforlife said is right on. If you are feeling light headed or hungry during yoga, eat more! your body needs to adjust to eating raw foods which have much more volume to them than cooked foods and more water and fiber. They digest and absorb differently.
