I just made:

THE most Best Ever Chocolate Banana Smoothie EVER!
(possibly ice-cream)


1 Cup of Coconut Water
1/2 Coconut Meat of one coconut
1 1/2 Banana's
3 Medjool Dates
1 Heaping Tbls Cacao Powder
1 tsp Maca
1 tsp Mesquite
1 tsp Lucuma
Ice

Wow-Wee!

Hilarious I just made a very similar one...no super powders tho,only protein powder. Still not feeling well and its a challenge to drink it but I know I need it.

Alright, I'll bite. I just pulled out a coconut and wasn't sure what I wanted to do with it. That sounds like a winner! :D

Knitster..............OMG! You are gonna love it and the coconut water is so fresh and yummy and drank 1/2 and put the other 1/2 in the smoothie. Yummy! I am all jazzed up from it. My goodness. I think I better work out now. ;)

My coconut had a very thick meat, blended with the water it was almost yogurt. Then I put the rest of the ingredients in, only using 1 frozen banana and 4 ice cubes.

It's like drinking chocolate Haagen Dazs!!! :D

Did you get alot of energy. My goodness, I was almost wired all day! :)

I did have a lot of energy today. I stayed active all day. I'm looking forward to using the other half of the coconut for another tomorrow. :)

How do you all open your coconuts?


I broke a drill bit trying to get the water out - but I couldn't get the meat out - the coconut was too resistant!

What are your techiniques?

This is how I do it. (I'm glad you asked...I love passing on this link.) It really is as easy as it looks, if you have a good knife.
