The web says it's 600 watt, but the one in the store is 1000 watt. It has a 6 blade mixer that's supposed to change speeds and reverse to draw the food down. I know it's no Vitamix, but I can't afford one now. Would I be able to use this to blend soaked nuts for butters and such?

I wouldn't even use my VM for nut butters. That would be better left for an fp or juicer is my guess.

Blenders are for wet stuff. Nut butters, pates, etc., usually not wet enough.

It's even hard on my vitamix when i try to make chz out of nuts even with a little oil and parsley. As it's very sticky it clings a lot and makes it difficult. I dont have a food processor but i should get one.
