Your blueberry crumble looks so good! I was just thinking today that I needed to find a recipe using blueberries because I was really craving them. I see you only used a few ingredients, would you care to be more specific about how you made it? I would really appreciate it!

Thanks, walnutty :)

hi walnutty!
i'm glad you liked my pic! i had a lot of fun uncooking over the holidays and my mom had bought a big bag of wyman's frozen wild bluberries...so i decided to whip this up! we both enjoyed it very much :)

for the crumble i used equal parts walnuts and dried dates. i blended them in the food processor until the mixture got nice and sticky. for the filling: in the vitamix i whipped up some of the thawed blueberries (about half of what i used in the whole recipe) and then added dates to taste. i mixed, by hand, this blueberry "sauce" with whole blueberries.

i actually put down a "crust" first so i could scoop it out easier--but you don't have to. the crust is the same exact mixture as the crumble. when i put the crumble on top of the blueberry mixture i shaped it a bit with my fingers so it would stick together more and look a bit more "crumbly". sorry i can't give you measurements--i basically just go by taste. hope that helped. check out these 2 pictures--the finished product :)

let me know how it turns out!

Oh my stars, I just have to tell you that this is delicious!!!! I made it this morning and can't get enough. I did make a couple of small tweaks though.

In the walnut/date mix I added just a pinch of sea salt and vanilla. I did need to add just a touch of water too to make it a bit stickier. It only took maybe a Tb. or two though.

In the blended blueberry/date mix I added just a pinch of vanilla, a tiny squirt of blue agave and some lemon zest. The lemon really set off the blueberries perfectly.
