My before and after

I thought I'd post to motivate myself also, and maybe others too! The first photo of me I'm about 160 lbs (I'm 5'7 1/2"), pre-raw, mostly unhealthy vegetarian and I was going out a lot to bars and drinking.

The second photo I was about 135, high raw for about 8 months, and super healthy and active. I think this photo was taken when I looked my best. I was dancing in a troupe at this point and this was at one of our shows.

Right now I'm at 148 and 23 weeks pregnant. I fell off of the raw bandwagon in the first trimester but I've been mostly raw again for 3 weeks. I'll post some belly photos maybe when I start to look more pregnant. Right now I just look like I've gained some weight...

Thanks for the comments! Actually, I'm not pregnant in either of the photos, I'm afraid I don't look quite as good right now as I did in my "after" pic, but I'm hoping that by continuing being raw through my pregnancy (restarted raw at 20 weeks, although I was eating a lot of raw food after my first trimester) I will recover quickly and get back to my "after" shape.. wish me luck!

Aww. thanks everyone! :o I really didn't post this so that you would all say nice things (although I'm really flattered! :p) but hopefully to show how raw really made a difference for me, not only in the way I look but the way I feel. I'm always so inspired by so many of the before/afters, and so many are so much more dramatic than mine, but I hoped to show how even subtle differences are really noticeable.

I actually left my corporate job to be a raw vegan chef a year ago, and it was the best life decision I've made so far! :)

The pictures are totems for me, and to be honest, my before picture was part of my inspiration to go raw to begin with. The picture was taken at a holiday party, and when I saw it I realized how much I was starting to age... (I'm pretty young). I went raw about a month after, and even though I've alternated between high raw and 100% in the last year, the changes have been incredible.

After only about 6 months on raw foods, I was looking like my after picture. These days, I'm feeling pretty good overall, but the pregnancy thing is hard for me to adjust to, since I keep hearing about all the raw vegan mamas who gain so little weight during pregnancy and bounce back etc, and here I am, right on par with a cooked- fooder in weight gain. Oh, well. At least I know how to get to my after shape again after the baby is born: RAW!! :D

You are beautiful on both photos but the second one shows more of the raw, vibrant energy. Congrats on becoming a raw food chef...I left my corporate job to become a full time yoga teacher and it was also one of the best choices I have ever made. Keep up the great work and follow your heart and intuition in your pregnancy. If you slip up just look at your second picture and go back to raw :) You can do it!
