Hey everyone,

I have really upped my work outs this year. I am working with a trainer 3x week for the last few months and doing tons of weight bearing hiking in the woods and regular spin classes etc

I've been 90% raw the whole time

I am really building muscle and feel stronger than ever but the layer of dense fat just sits there!!!

back of the arms and thighs and the belly roll.

help
advice
foods to avoid or add......any help???

I am using sunwarrior protein pwdr and that other "10%" of my diet is orgainc cultured yogurt or kefir. for muscle gaining these 2 things have seemed essential for me

I do not think that there is any food that builds muscle. Exercise is the only thing that does that.

yes after contemplating the question further I definitely wanted to reply and say that the big difference has been HOW i am working my muscles

slooooooooooooooow reps
looooooooooooots of weights

very few reps. enough weight that in 10-12 reps you are too tired to do anymore and slow enough to count 10 with each movement:D

Yes

I have been raw for a year now. I aim to be 100 percent but am really 90... And even though I do not like the percentage talk. It does seem to matter. It feels to me like I just can't let go of that core connection with food that is not raw. And when I am 100 per I end up eating too many avocados and nuts and coconut butter. I am sooooo ready to shed this stuff.

Anyway... I run 5 to 6 miles at least 4 days a week. I have just started Vinyasa Flow Yoga. And that seems to be helping with the "core" issues.

Seems like if I get the blood moving in those stagnant areas that it will come off. And also when I run I try to focus on using my core strength to rev up my motion. Unfortunatley this has led to emergency colon cleanses while out on a run lol tee hee. So it must be doin' somethin'!!.

Anyone have any experience to share on getting to the next level?

I have had 3 children and most of my concentrated "flab" is where the stretch marks are. And like you all every other part of my body solid!

Its as though I can feel myself wanting to fly and I can taste it and see it... but there is just this old thing in the way....
May we all find the next step on our journey with grace and forgiveness!!

Blessings
