View Full Version : Limit Juices On A Fast?

I've read a lot on this site and others, but seem a little conflicted in the information I'm getting.

So I'd appreciate some feedback on the amount of juice during a fast. How much should I drink during the day?

Veggie and fruit juice can get expensive, obviously I can drink as much water as I want for a negligible price - but how juice costs a lot and I was hoping to get some opinions and guidance on how much to drink during each day?

Thanks again :)

anywhere from 2 litres of juice to 4 litres (one gallon)

same with water :)

I hope you aren't buying canned/bottled juices. Those have been pasturized, and no longer have the living enzymes.

Since the only nutrients you are getting during a juice fast are the juices, it's worth it to get good produce and juice your own.

If you want to just fast, water fasting has the fastest benefits, and is cheap. :p

One more thing...I'm transitioning from vegetable and fruit juices into water - if I'm a week or two into the water portion of my fast and I want some flavor, if I have a glass of fruit juice, would that alter/change or affect my fast in any way?

Or because it's liquid it really doesn't matter - so long as it's not any solid food?

it will not matter at all. go ahead. ;)

technically, your body will alter a bit on the level of healing and cleaning... but honestly... i wouldn't worry about it at all. ;)

you may want to water down the juice though... as it may make your tummy a little unhappy full strength.

I like the idea of watering down the fresh juices.

Tell me, all of you juice fasting experts :) , when you do a juice fast/feast; do your taste buds become as sensitive as when you do a water fast? With my first ten day water fast, I noticed afterward, that I HAD to water down juices in order to drink them or they tasted too strong...

Does the same occur with the juice fasts?
