This may be a stupid question but can you have hot tea when you're raw?

You CAN have it. It's not raw. You can decide if you want it or not.
Some people drink gently warmed herbal tea and still consider it raw.
It's one of those things that some do and some don't.

please don't discount the healing powers of herbal teas just because it is not technically 'raw'!!!

i agree with raw joy.
watch out for caffine. if you're going to go all raw and want the full benefits...keep in mind caffine is bad stuff and body goes into alarms from it.
also, i forget what medical term it's called.. but body goes into shock with cooked items especialy if raw already. you lose much of what you've gained by being raw already with healing factors and body trying to be pure again and to some degree starting all over again... i just don't recommend it drnking tea. and also whatever good stuff tea apparently has can be found in other raw fruits and veggies.
and me personaly.. everytime i've gotten sick tea never helped me at all.. only did fruits ect and essential oils and auric healings.

What about herbal tea infusion? Technically it's just boiling water and a herbal infusion?

I don't drink it and I don't believe in the healing powers of tea: the only healing power lies within us imo

I do not know a lot about the healing power of tea but I believe in the healing power of "A Little of what you fancy does you good".
I drink tea from time to time because I want to.

sorry, misunderstood the question: of course you CAN. You are free to do anything you want to :)
It doesn't feel good to me that's why I don't do it.
((((sport)))) perhaps you are right. Since I'm raw I fancy delicious exotic raw fruit. Perhaps I should get some more mangoes? ;)
Take care, Eva

In warmer weather, I make green tea in the sun. I think that is still raw as green tea is not roasted and I am making it without heating it. I also make sun tea with mint as well. (mint and green tea are a good combo).

I make sun tea as well. I find that if you brew tea in hot water, the more bitter it taste where you need honey, agave or some sort of sweetner.
Sun tea is less harsh tasting and I can drink it plain with no sweetner at all. It taste like aromatic water.

I can't drink black or green tea anymore. It is too potent. I recently tried a white sun-dried tea, even the caffiene in that was to much.
However herbal teas, you will have to pry the teacup out of my cold, dead hands. :p

I am drinking sun tea right now. Trader Joes Jasmine + Green tea. I used to think that the Japanese were crazy drinking tea without any sweetener but now I enjoy it.
I must warn you, Lipton tea makes the worst sun tea. Their tea taste cheap. I like fruit teas, so I am not keen on chai sun teas without sugar. I need honey for the chais.
