Hello,

My name is Morgan and I'm a 21 year old chick living in Phoenix, AZ. Today is my 13th day of transitioning to raw. Everything has been going very well except for my entire body has turned into a big rash. Itchy, burny, red rash. I figure it's just detox, but I went to the doctor and they actually encouraged me to go back to the way I was eating (SAD) and then transition slower. I declined to do that, but I am worried about this crazy rash.

Anyways, I'm happy to be here! I'm feeling great about the transition.

Just take extra care of yourself and be sure to rest. Are you eating something you didn't eat before you were raw?

the rash sounds awful! Hope you start to get better fast. Take care and maybe see if there's something in your diet that's exacerbating it.

Thanks everyone for replying!!
The rash is still everywhere.. driving me CRAZY! After reviewing what I had been eating and talking with some medicial professionals, I believe that this is not detox, but it appears to be an allergic reaction to these mushrooms that I bought from the farmers market. They didn't look like they were wild mushrooms, but were darker than the regular mushrooms I've eaten in the past. Did I mention they were yummy too??

I have noticed that my finger nails are getting shiney. My mom asked if I had been painting them and of course I hadn't. How fun!
