Hi all,

I know in Alissa's book, she says that the fudge balls will keep quite awhile in the fridge ... how long is 'quite awhile'? A week? Two weeks? A few days?

I've never tried them before, and just want to make sure I know what I'm doing. :)

Thanks so much!!

I have kept them for a month in the fridge. What is better is to make the fudge balls and freeze them. I would take out two or three a day and I always had fresh that way. Her fudge balls are to die for aren't they! I love them ;)

that's a fantastic idea! Whenever I make them, they're gone in 2-3 days!

Where's the recipe for the fudge balls? My mouth is watering...
I am experimenting with a fudge dip to use for chocolate covered almonds, stawberries, etc. Would love to hear how to make this.
Thanx!

Mine turn out like blobs, too...will they harden up in the fridge? Am I doing something wrong?

I agree with flutterfly, I freeze mine also, works beautifully.

Then when I want to be totally decadant I just take out a few, YUMMMY

I have never tried just putting them in the fridge, good idea though.

Now I'm not feeling so bad, mine were blobs too...lol I'm going to try it without soaking the dates next time. However even blobs were wonderful by the spoonful! lol

The shape of these puppies didn't affect the taste at all! (Thank goodness!) lol ...

And here I thought I was the only one who couldn't make them ball shaped ... :)

I still want to figure out what I did wrong because I would love to take these with me on trips and such. Alissa's looked awesome on the Today Show...

I love these fudge balls. They are great for cravings. I haven't any trouble making them into balls when I put them between my hands and roll and roll. The only trouble is I have to keep washing/wiping my hands because the natural almond oil gets a little slick. I keep mine in the fridge, where they firm up, although the freezer trick might work too. Work in the way that they will keep me from eating them all too quickly.

Lately though, I've been making the Revvell's favorite coconut cookies more often and they seem to travel better too. The only problem I have with the prep on those cookies is when it says to use a wet glass bottom to shape them: never works for me. I end up getting my hands into the mix and pressing them out.
