Hey all. Anyone on here from around the Calgary area? It would be nice to talk to someone locally or maybe plan dinner dates together. So far no one I know is interested in the slightest lol. This is day number 10 for me 100% raw and I am doing fine and really excited about trying creative dishes, i'm just not good at winging it without recipes for the moment. I need help. :)

Thank you, i have had no regrets so far. Day 11 and i've resisted all kinds of junk like pizza and burgers and chips. People like to eat it in front of me and tease me. My ex had to ask me how i made garlic shrimp before, last night and he tried to get me to eat one. He was shocked when i said no, why would i want one? and he's like just one? You can't have just one? it didn't feel right so i didn't. I had some chocolate pudding. :)

Go you!!

I feel sympathy for you, I went raw in isolation too, no support but still such and exciting journey! This place is great for support BTW.

Definitely check out the recipe section for some ideas. :D.

Yes it is nice to not just live in your head all day. And I went raw back in highschool for a while and i got SO sick of cutting up massive amounts of fruit and bringing ridiculous amounts of fruit salad in tupperware with me and trying to eat it all in a 30 min lunch break haha. and then i'd use the dinner salad serving bowls to eat salad out of every night and my family would be like what the... are you an animal or something? I got very tired of the same thing every day and i was almost banned from using the fridge because i took up 3/4 of it with fruits and lettuces... so i had to go back, but now that i don't live at home and have an extra bar fridge for my nuts and condiments it's much easier. :)

Hey Kathryn! That's great. I've gone to the journey of health potlucks, just when there's only been a few people though. I have not even tried a sliver of all the great raw dishes out there. And I'd much rather put in the effort to make one great meal and share many others too. I almost went to the potluck last weekend in the NW but the weather kept me home. I think it's good we have these as i am always eating by myself. Not that i mind. It's just a lot of work to try new recipes for one person. :)
