i haven't fasted yet since being raw. i've been raw for 8 months and am interested in doing some type of fast. i don't have access to a juicer or a blender.

i was actually thinking about doing lemon water and greens. i wouldn't be juicing the greens so i know it wouldn't be a juice fast...but i was wondering if anyone had tried something similar?

i want to still be getting some minerals (from the greens) and i don't want to detox way too fast (i.e. doing water fast) so i was thinking about incorporating greens...and lemon water.

any suggestions?

thanks!

Hey! Check out my blog. I've been doing green smoothies and fresh juices fasting for about 38 days now...

thanks, i'm enjoying reading through your blog. a question for you, do you get about the same amount of calories as you did while eating normally? my calories would be very restricted as i'm just planning on doing greens and maybe celery. so, i'll have fiber...but no fruit...

anyone ever tried just eating leafy greens and celery? and if so, did you still have BMs??

thanks!

What's a calorie? Honey child? I haven't counted calories, carbs, or any of that crap since going 100% Raw almost 3 years ago. I don't care about that. I FEEL what my body needs. I LISTEN to it...

why don't you want fruit in your diet? fruit is yummy and if you like what you are drinking/eating you have a much better chance of actually doing it!

regardless - you can do whatever you desire and yes you will have bms. i have them on juice or water only!

as for energy to be productive... only you will know for sure. try it and see if it works for ya. if not... add some fruit.

thanks to both of you!

vegan4life...haha, i guess i was just wondering if you were restricting yourself in the amount of green smoothie you were drinking.

aleesha, i pretty much just eat fruits and greens now...only occasionally will i eat seeds or nuts. i just wanted to try something different and give my body a chance to rest a little more. thanks for answering my BM question :p i actually just responded to another post asking you the same question!

thanks for the advice! :)
