I'm thinking of adding them into my diet but don't know the first thing about them. Is there one for...beginners. ROFL

nori has the less taste that i've tried and i don't mind it however i'm not sure if it has less nutrients than other varities. seaweed is expensive and i really don't like it. and it's texture is weird. feels like i'm eating some fuzzy caterpillars or something and i've never eaten that.. it's just weird stuff.

for now i'm sticking with nori.. and i feel pleased to have chorella and spirulina in my food intake.

I like Nori also, I used to eat it with rice all the time as a Vegeterian. Now I use it as a Wrap and ofter cut it in strips and add to Salad as another Flavor.

i really like to put dulse in my kale salads--kale, massaged with olive oil and a bit of honey until softer, grated garlic, sometimes avocado, pine nuts, and pieces of dulse. buy the whole dulse leaves, and tear them up for this, NOT the dulse flakes. i dont like the dulse flakes at all either anyway

I also like nori wraps with avocado, spinach, dulse lemon juice, garlic, and sometimes apple.

dulse is good to snack on with raw nuts as it is salty, especially brazil nuts, but also almonds or walnuts. you can do this with wakame seaweed too, WELL chewed up with brazil nuts, but wakame is tougher and takes more chewing.

Sea Lettuce is REALLY NICE FRESH if you happen to be somewhere where you can collect it from clean beaches. be careful about where you get it from though if you are collecting it, because it also grows well in areas where there is alot of sewage, so make sure you are getting it from a clean place. i would make salads with fresh sea lettuce, dulse, grated carrot, and a lemony dressing

you can buy dulse flakes or kelp flakes and use them as seasoning, but personally i cant seem to manage to get kelp down in any form, it is so slimy. the only way i got some down was to get fresh kelp, dehydrate till crunchy, and then dip it in honey and sprinkle with sesame seeds, it was tasty this way but i cant stand the texture and it is so tough; i had to try to chew it and get it down before it got slimy, which is impossible. too bad i cant stomach it, its SO good for you

my fav is def dulse; i end up adding pieces of the whole dulse to all sorts of wraps, salads, soups, etc. i used to make a "green stuff" soup with spinach, basil, olive oil, garlic, almonds lemon juice, etc in the blender, and then add pieces of dulse so it would have some "stuff" in it instead of just being a smooth soup.

I love love love arame in my salads. You soak it for 5 mnutes in water and then it's ready to add to whatever. The taste is very mild and the mineral content is great.

I have though about some kelp. I have heard you have to be careful on the amounts eaten. Anyone have any comments.

I use the kelp powder and put it in smoothies. You can also use it in place of salt.

Sea vegetables should be eaten sparingly because they are salty. The label of my brand says, "May Contain Shellfish." My favorite is dulse. I eat it for its iodine content. One or two pieces per week keep my thyroid working well.

My new fav is irish moss soaked and blended into a thick paste. It is so creamy. I add it to smoothies and desserts.

what about Kelp noodles? Ani Phyo swears by them, but I can't bring myself to buy an entire case of them when I haven't tried them once...

Personally I really like them.

The longer you 'marinate' them in Anis Pad Thai sauce the more flavour they absorb.

I saw one website charging almost £7 ($11) for one pack which is just crazy.
