Good Morning, Good Day, Good spirit,

Thank you for this post and thank you again for this board. You have been patient and generous and for that I thank you. For all that you have done, for all that you will do, let not your heart be troubled - it is well, my sister, it is well!

Thank you Alissa. I visit a number of boards but always come back to this one, as I've said in a post just the other day, because of the attitude of most of the folks here. It is an attitude of helpfulness, loving, peace, motivating and accepting. I haven't found that anywhere else on the net.

What a pleasant place to come and learn. Thanks again

I did suggest googling something in the diet soda thread - but that was just because I didn't want to misquote the thing about pilots not allowed to use asparatame. I'd hate to misquote someone or make a statement that might be false.

From now on, I'll just share what I know to be true - such as my friend who stopped using asparatame which stopped her headaches.

Thanks, im so glad you love this board, me too. You all make it that way!

Sharon, i didn’t mean that. There are times when someone asks a question and the response is 'google it'. i know people have responded to a question and then gave links to google threads that are helpful. It wasn’t your post that prompted this. No worries.

Best,
Alissa

Alissa,
An honest post indeed.
You spend money, time and sweat and you have all rights to be a traffic cap. Board is good and informative. I like it.

Bumping this up. Do not advertise on this site. I just erased 2 posts this morning in the discussion forum. This board is for support, not to advertise your personal program, products, or web site. If you post something like this it will be deleted. The second time you post this you will be banned. There is a classified/events section where you can post raw food happenings and if you are selling a piece of equipment, etc.. but don use it for your own personal advertising section posting your entire web site there.
Thank you,
Alissa

Some people just have to bend the rules to suit their needs...it happens in groups, clubs, forums, families, the workplace, ....and it's basically a problem with the big 'I'

1) For those of you still telling people to 'google it'. Can you stop, please? Please! I cannot find this old thread i posted about this about a month or two ago but PLEASE just stop telling people this. This is what a forum board IS!!!!

I was so glad to read this! As a newbie, I have hesitated to ask questions because I have seen this so many times along with the "use the search button!!" replies. I think the majority of us know how to google and how to use the search button. Many times I have used the search feature and read the past posts pertaining to what I want to ask, but still haven't found the answer to my question. Even if a question is repetitive, I think it would be nice and helpful if we all just answered it. I am administrator on a different board, unrelated to raw food, and we never get on people's cases and tell them to use the search button. I don't feel it conveys a very friendly atmosphere. Just my 2 cents.

I totally agree. Actually that’s not why the search button is here, its just an added button for convenience but its not suppose to take the place of interaction on the board. I appreciate your post and if anyone sees someone saying google it or search for it, please let me know! im about to remove that search button as I too have done searches on this board and have been unable to find the right post or have had too many post with similar wording come up but not the actually post ive been searching for. Thanks!

Please, please do not remove the search button. I rely on the search function to find posts by specific members, topics, recipes, etc. It may not be perfect, but I find it very useful!!

I won’t, LOL, i was just annoyed. I want people to interact here and feel comfortable asking questions but I know that is a useful button, sorry, i was just trying to be threatening and get my point across. :p

Alissa,

We do see your dilemma and have heard you pleading with people as a group and it isn't working. Besides with new ones almost daily you would have to keep repeating or bumping messages forever.

Some of us would miss the search button terribly. I use it quite often to refresh my mind before answering a new person's questions. Also, I use it for my own reference. Not that I haven't read the threads before. I started at the oldest and read up to date before ever joining the board, but can't remember where everything is and would hate to have to go searching for it by reading every post again till it happened to be the right one.

Could you try putting in effect some kind of punishment? Maybe removing the post and giving the offender a private warning that the next occurrence will receive a week's ban from posting. Two such posts after the initial personal private warning and the person would be banned. Kind of like school, work, or even the legal system, follow the rules or this is what will happen. It would also work with other issues.

Also with such a system in place we could all be free of having to discuss this. It must be damaging your nerves to have to do it again and again. Also the boards could be left to encouragement without the majority even knowing the post was ever made.

These are just ideas. You, or even somebody else may have a better idea. We would like to see it stopped as much as you but please don't take the search button.

PS .... We will support your decission no matter what it is. After all this is your website.
