Hello,
I have been raw for 2 weeks & feel great! My aim is to be 100% raw, however.....I havent got a blender & was desparete for somthing to eat, so I bought some organic hummus from the store. Is store bought oranic hummus a raw food?

highly doubtful - most likely the garbanzo beans are cooked

The garbanzo beans are probably cooked and the tahini probably is roasted. So not raw. You could sprout your own garbanzos and make hummus though.

There are raw nut hummus recipes.....I've tried the sprouted chickpeas and they really don't tast anything like when they've been cooked to make hummus.

I know that Morn uses hummus as a fallback food sometimes...and still considers herself raw and is one of the more well-known success stories.
There are Far worse choices. I wouldn't sweat it too much. Also, I've heard that the zuchinni hummus in Alissa's book is actually better.

Yeah sprouted chick peas taste WAY different...and I used to eat hummus ALOT but not really liking the raw hummus made the same as I would normally make it...had to add some nuts and seeds, red bell pepper and tomato plus various organic spices to get a taste that was acceptable to my palate. I have not been raw that long and I'm not 100% so prob has alot to do with my picky palate old habits die hard
