Hmm. Since I was four years old I have been hideously allergic to citrus fruit and anything with a high content of citric acid. There are other foods but I eliminated when them I became a vegan. Do you think this allergy will be a problem with going RAW? Especially since I keep madly craving orange juice like it's water. I decided to have some the other day, to risk it as one day I was told I might grow out of my allgery (I'm 20 now.) I had a glass and nothing happened, and I also had a second. But it's an accumulation of citrus fruit that I'm allergic to, so I'm waiting for it to hit me.

Any thoughts?

There are some accounts of people being allergic to certain veggies or/and fruits. After cleansing out their body, they were able to eat whatever they were allergic to.

I'd suggest laying off the citrus fruits for a while, if you know your current body condition cannot handle it. It's not for the rest of your life. After you feel your body is more clean via feeling more energetic, clear minded, no intense cravings like it's an addiction, then slowly add citrus fruits into your diet.

Then, you'll be able to eat all you want. But by then, you're palate and body would be so clean that you probably won't even want as much as you thought. :p

RAW is a Healer. I would not push the button if I were Allergic to Peanuts. But with the OJ......Just drink it in Moderation. It's probably the Acid that gets to you. Keep your self Hydrated and it will keep your Body Flushed out.

I know from experience that if there is somthing I use to be allergic to is to slowly drink/eat the thing. Meaning dont drink orange juice everyday maby only one or two time a week and only a small amount everytime. Then slowly your body might get use to it and not reacting to it, and in time increse the amount and how offen. I use to be allergic to bananas, but after years of cleaning my body I could slowly start eating them and now I can eat 5-7 bananas without a reaction. But I introduced them to my body gradualy. I think that is important, otherwise you give your body a shock and the allergy might get worse.

In bernard jensen's book 'come alive' he says that there is no such thing as an 'allergy', but rather what we refer to as allergies is really just a weak immune response to a certain substance....as you get cleansed and healthy, and you immune system gets stronger, you will no longer have 'allergies'.....
....sounds good to me.....!?
