am wondering the same about marinated artichoke hearts. (the ones in the little jar..)

i know someone here knows far better than i, but i believe that all the expeller pressing and this and thating that goes into the making of boxed soymilk counts it as cooked. (not sure)

soymilk is cooked and actualy is very bad for people. it has some benefits, but overall should be avoided.

also.. if you drink it or eat tofu... make sure to drink 8 glasses of water immediately afterwards.

Soy foods contain a lot of phytoestrogens (plant estrogens). They really disrupt the hormones in your body.

And soy is toxic when eaten raw. Soy milk and tofu are cooked.

8 full glasses of water. some say 10. it dehydrates your body.. the soy does. it effects some people more than others but some immeditaely feel super thirsty while drinking soy milk.. others may a little or may not.

all soy products are just terriable for health be it cooked or raw. and now thanks to biotech people.. it's challenging to find natural soy and not gm'd. the gm makes it much worse.
it isn't just hormones with soy.. there's a lot more to add to the list. the stuff is sh*t.

i'm working now and may only have little time over the next week or two and don't feel like looking for links at least right now that have a wealth of info and very indepth. the ones i have are on another user account and i have many accounts and not sure which one it's on. maybe soon i'll provide it if anyone is interested.

but you can find some general info with a google search. most googles links are basic info.. you have to search and roam ect...

Pretty much anything that's manufactured and promoted is bad for you. I stopped eating dairy because my skin got so bad from it i switched to soy milk for a bit... even reading the ingredients and knowing it was engineered plant protein kinda freaked me out. I am so excited that I can make nut milks with my vitamix, i hate milk plain anyways i just wanted it for mixing and smoothies. :)

Soy beans - 80% of all the soy beans grown on the planted are genetically modified crops. Best to avoid soy products.

I read somewhere that because the soy is so processed for the making of soymilk and other products, the proteins are really hard on the body. I think fermented soy like tempeh and miso are good, but I'm not sure if they're raw.
