Has anyone else seen the article in Woman's World? It's call Melt Off The Pounds or something like that and they recommend..... raw food!

I did :D I did :D
It is actually on the stands right now. The article is entitled "Flush out Fat" - The Raw Food Detox plan, which quotes from Rose's book. There are 3 women who are touted as being success stories and 5 recipes. I suppose since they are printed in this magazine, I can post them on the recipe side. And they answer the question as Alissa has said so frequently to folks - there is enough protein in raw foods. This is actually the second article from this magazine on raw food - the first was that I can remeber is Dr. Joel Furham's - Maybe Alissa next for Woman's World - who knows!

I posted about it on off topics. It talks about "Eat to live" and "Raw Food Detox" . I thought it was pretty cool to have so much exposure.

What's the date of that issue? I picked up a copy of the August 9th (I believe it was) issue yesterday, and the article wasn't in it. Have I missed it, or (I'm hoping!!) our stores haven't put out that one yet.
Thanks!

carolyn-
you might have missed it, womans world comes out weekly i believe. great article though I was really impressed, especially when they pointed out that there is enough protien found in raw foods. That point is sooooo difficult for people to understand.

Nuts ... I picked this one up the morning after this thread started, so I'd hoped I'd got it in time. :( I checked online, but didn't see a website for Woman's Day ... I'd hoped they'd have it posted online for those of us who missed it.

It was in the August 2, 2005 Woman's World Magazine - I gave a blurb above. Now, I did a search and in the March 19, 2002 magazine there was another article touting the wonders of raw food as well, located on http://www.rawfood.com/womensworld.html. That is very interesting as well and it is the whole article that was scanned into this website. My husband is going to scan the article for me, so if anyone wants to see it, please p.m. your e-mail and as soon as he is done, I will e-mail it to you.
I will post the recipes on the recipe board this morning as I enjoy the green lemonade from there. I was impressed with the article and with the book because of her levels from 1 to 5 - 1 being fruitarian and 5 transitioning to raw by doing 75%. There are some things I disagree with as more of a personal choice.
I know that Woman's World will accept a article with a happy ending, so perhaps if many of us who are following the program as Alissa designed can write an article of 350 words or less, we too can see her sitting on the cover of the magazine, within the next year. I am more than willing to work that for us - but I will need input. This magazine has some weightloss strategy on the cover weekly, how do I know, I get it weekly, many are of good sense, but some aren't me at all. It is a feel happy magazine, every story has a happy ending. So let me know what you think and pm with your ideas.
