This is week 4! The detox process for me was a little rough. I have lost a lot of weight (though not really wanting to), but I think that may be on the rebound. I started weighing myself, and am gaining a couple pounds here and there. The most important thing though is what people are saying. Up through week 3, people were very concerned that I was "sick". I had a gray look, losing weight rapidly, and sunken eyes. This week, I got a few complements! I must admit that I am feeling much better in week 4. One person said - "You look trim and very healthy!" another said "You look much better this week. Last week you were gray with sunken eyes. This week you are in a better mood, and your eyes are looking great!"
I have brought a couple desserts in for people at work. They seem to like them. One woman said to me "Let's all go to your house in a couple weeks for a party. We'll bring a bunch of raw food and you can fix all the recipies!" WOW is that a turn around! Another woman said "I think we should open up a restaurant. I think we could do the raw foods!"
As Alissa says "It is truely amazing!"
So, to celebrate, I am going to treat myself to a pizza. HA! just kidding. I gotta get that dehydrator out of the box . I want to make the enchiladas first.......

That is so great! I wonder if you were hardcore detoxing on the 3rd week? Makes sense. Congratulations, this is quite an accomplishment. Keep us informed.

Congratulations!!! Congratulations!!! That is so awesome that you're feeling great now. I'm also around the 30 mark, and can't wait to see what I feel like at 6 months.
You did it!!

Congratulations Tim?
Shannon said: I'm also around the 30 mark, and can't wait to see what I feel like at 6 months. That to me this is what sets raw above everything else, we are looking ahead with enthusiasm, not wondering if we'll be able to do this for six months, but projecting on how healthy we can and will become. Attitude is everything, and raw envokes so much hope that it's easy to stay in the positive.

Congrats. I'm on my 3rd week at being a consistent 90% raw and am feeling pretty week. I think it's detoxing...and after reading what you said...I think I'm right.
Anyway, congratulations again.

Peace & Congratulations on your accomplishment!
I agree that eating and living raw really gives off a sense of enthusiasm that is unmatched with any other way of living. I'm just about 6 months now and i still find it hard to really soak it all in and realize how much of an accomplishment this is. To be able to overcome all the cravings, the advertisements, the aromas of cooked food, the detox symptoms (which i'm still experiencing!), and all that comes with eating such an "extreme" way. It truly is remarkable to be able to withstand all of the opposition.
And see, its not like this is just some kind of thing where, "i just wanna be part of the crowd". This is much much bigger than that! Especially in today's times with all of the failures of the medical industry and all of the toxic, poisonous chemicals in our food and in the atmosphere. If each person were to teach another person, than we're talkin' about changing the world! The education and the spreading of this Knowledge is truly what will restore and bring some type of order to this toxic world that we're in.
Just my few added thoughts on this wonderful way to live.
Once again, congrats to you Tim, as well as everyone else on their journeys with raw.
PEACE
